A Legacy Built on Passion, Precision, and Family
For more than 40 years, Clearwater Pools has been a name synonymous with craftsmanship, commitment, and community in Natchitoches, Louisiana. What started as a teenager’s side job has grown into a family legacy—one pool at a time.
Mike Webb was just 16 when he got his start working for Sunshine Pools. Even then, he knew building pools was more than just a job—it was a calling. After marrying his wife Darla in 1982, Mike began taking on small projects of his own, slowly laying the foundation for what would eventually become Clearwater Pools.
In 1986, Mike earned his engineering degree from Northwestern State University, and thanks to a Sunday school teacher who saw his potential, he was offered a job at the local paper mill before he even graduated. He walked across the stage on a Friday and clocked in at the mill the following Monday. But no matter how demanding the hours, Mike couldn’t leave the pool business behind. It was his passion. After long days at the mill, he’d head to job sites—often working under floodlights to bring backyard dreams to life.
Eventually, that passion proved too strong to ignore. Over 20 years ago, Mike retired from the mill and dove into the pool business full time. He hit the ground running and never looked back.
In those early days, Clearwater Pools specialized in wood wall pools—if you know, you know. While the materials and technologies have evolved, Mike’s dedication to precision and quality has remained steadfast. Today, Clearwater Pools is proud to be an authorized dealer for Latham Pools, offering fiberglass and gunite pool options designed to last a lifetime.
More than a business, Clearwater Pools is a family affair. The Webb children grew up on job sites, shovels in hand as they helped build the pools that became their playgrounds. Mike and Darla’s three kids and five grandchildren have all grown up around water—and around the belief that pools are more than a luxury; they’re a place for connection, laughter, and lifelong memories.
Now, the next generation is preparing to carry the torch. Their oldest son Michael, a landscape architect based in Texas, contributes designs for outdoor living areas, landscaping, and lighting. Their youngest son Dylan is set to take over the business, ensuring the Clearwater name—and everything it stands for—continues for years to come.
At Clearwater Pools, it’s not just about building beautiful backyards. It’s about building relationships, one splash at a time.
